1.Customer Drawing Interpretation and Process Optimization:
? Analyze and interpret customer drawings and technical specifications.
? Propose the most efficient manufacturing processes to execute products from raw
material to finished goods.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and
cost-effectiveness.
2.Documentation and Implementation:
? Create detailed stage drawings, control plans, quality plans, and tool drawings essential
for manufacturing.
? Ensure all documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and adheres to world-class
standards.
? Take accountability for implementing these documents on the shop floor, ensuring ease
of use by supervisors and operators.
3.Manufacturing Standards and Continuous Improvement:
? Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, including tooling, fixtures, gauges, and
cycle times.
? Standardize engineering practices through comprehensive documentation.
? Analyze gaps between estimated and actual parameters; develop action plans to
address discrepancies.
? Establish clear review mechanisms with targets and actively participate in reviews to
drive continuous improvement.
4. Die and Tool Management and Optimization:
? Oversee tool management for both machining and foundry operations.
? Prepare comprehensive tool lists required for production
5.New Product Development (NPD):
? Own the NPD process, including estimation, costing, and optimization.
