Job Purpose (Key Objectives)

Responsible for leading and supervising operational staff to ensure output and productivity whilst maintaining appropriate standard of quality, using a hands-on approach with effective leadership. Ensure a culture of continuous improvement whilst promoting a learning environment for staff.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure H&S safety standards are adhered to, communicated.
• effectively and maintained at all times in line with the company’s policies and procedures. Consult with staff or their elected representatives to identify any health and safety concerns.
• Raise any near misses or issues and drive actions from these.
• Carry out accident investigations and risk assessments.
• Ensure optimum production targets, minimum waste and the highest levels of consistent quality, reporting any identified deficiencies.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP’S) and help review and develop when required.
• Promote lean thinking/PIP+ and actively look for ways to improve your efficiency.
• Ensure that the work area is kept clean and free from obstructions and waste Actively manage, develop and motivate the shift operation to ensure they are capable of delivering their targets and goals.
• Oversee the various quality checks as specified on the production check list.
• Ensure adherence to Wienerberger’ s quality system & standards in accordance with EN ISO 9001.
• Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed and adhered to, including carrying out disciplinary action where necessary, in - In Kunigal

  Engineer/Senior Engineer - Mechanical Maintenance - Full-Time

  Job Descriptions : 

  1. Trouble shooting in a fully automatic production line.

  2. Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all Machines in the Production Dept.

  3. Report Major Problems of the machines to Maintenance Manager and help to reduce turn around time.

  4. First intervention of mechanical alarms, trouble shooting and defects.

  5. Prepare and ensure Preventive Maintenance in consultation with the Maintenance Manager.

  6. Able to run and operate production machines during change over periods.

  7. Able to execute workshop activities such as Turning, Welding, Milling, power saw, etc.,

  8. Operate all utility machines (compressors, steam generators, Vacuum pumps etc.,)

  9. Should be familiar with the Maintenance of utilities like Diesel Generator, Compressor, Fire Hydrant Pumps, and STP.

  10. Should be familiar with the maintenance of Conveyor Belts, Metallic Conveyors, Over head crane, Gear box, Exhaust

  fans & Chain drives.

  11. Should have hands on experience of TOTAL 8 -10 years in Maintenance dept in a similar process industry.

  12. Should be ready to work with hands during emergency & major break downs.

  13. Should be familiar with the operation of conventional machines.

  14. Should be familiar with preventive & Predictive maintenance.

  15. Should plan & execute the Preventive maintenance and responsible for the spares planning of all the machines &

  critical spares stock.

  16. Should co-ordinate with purchase for getting the required spares.

  17. Should be familiar with the Auto cad drawing.

  18. Should be able to take the decision, lead the team of technicians and to have the skill of motivation. & Team work.

  19. Should be ready to work in shifts and stay at Kunigal is a must. IV Job requirements:
