Security, Vigilance cum Safety Officer - Full-Time

1. Key Responsibilities

A. Security Management

Asset Protection: Ensure 24/7 security of premises, employees, assets, and information

Access Control: Manage entry/exit, visitor management system, gate passes, ID cards

Surveillance: Monitor CCTV, conduct regular patrolling, maintain security equipment

Incident Response: Lead response to theft, trespass, fire, or emergencies. Liaise with local police

Vendor Management: Supervise security agency, verify guard deployment, training & compliance

B. Vigilance Functions

 Fraud Prevention: Detect & investigate theft, pilferage, fraud, misconduct, or policy violations

 Surprise Checks: Conduct audits of stores, scrap, dispatch, weighbridge, canteen, transport

 Intelligence Gathering: Build informant network, monitor suspicious activities

 Whistleblower Management: Handle complaints confidentially, conduct discreet inquiries

 Reporting: Submit vigilance reports to management with evidence & recommendations

C. Safety & Fire Management

 EHS Compliance: Implement Factories Act, OSHA, fire safety norms. Ensure statutory compliance

 Risk Assessment: Conduct HIRA, safety audits, mock drills for fire/earthquake/emergency

 PPE & Training: Ensure PPE usage, conduct toolbox talks, safety induction for staff/contractors

 Incident Investigation: Lead accident/incident investigation, RCA, CAPA implementation

 Fire Systems: Maintain fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms. Coordinate with fire department

D. Administrative & Legal

 Documentation: Maintain security logbooks, incident registers, safety permits, legal records

 Liaison: Coordinate with police, fire dept, labour dept, PCB, factory inspectorate
